WELCOME TO ONLINEDOC!

General

  1. These terms apply to any use of onlineDOC P/S ("we", "us", "our", "onlineDOC") service, made available to healthcare professionals or other healthcare personnel ("you", "your", "yours") via www.onlineDOC.dk.
  2. Healthcare professionals are individuals authorized under special legislation to handle healthcare tasks, and individuals acting on their behalf. Other healthcare personnel refers to individuals who are not authorized but have education, experience, knowledge within human health, wellness, and body, such as nurses and health care assistants.
  3. All content available on or through the Service is provided as is and without interference from us. This content is provided without warranties of usability or liability of any kind, either express or implied. We do not control topics/threads/discussions and are therefore not responsible for behavior, content, or any links placed therein.
    1. To the extent we become aware, we will remove posts that are blatantly defamatory, infringe on copyright, or violate personal data rights.
  4. By accepting our terms when creating a user, you confirm and declare that you have read, understood, and accepted our terms and community rules (hereinafter collectively referred to as "Terms"), and that your use of the service will be in accordance therewith. It is important that you read the Terms carefully.

We process, as the data controller, various personal information about you when you sign up as a user and exchange valuable knowledge and experiences on our healthcare meeting place, onlineDOC (hereinafter "the Service").

If you do not wish to provide us with your personal information, the consequence will be that we cannot fulfill the purposes described below, and you will not be able to access the Service.

We have a clear corporate policy that your personal information is used responsibly with respect for your privacy, and in the following, we inform you about how we collect and process your personal information.

Please note that, as a starting point, we do not delete your post when you delete your user. This is because your post may be part of an overall context with content provided by other users. However, you can edit your post and remove information from it, just as you can contact us and ask us to delete your post.

This policy will be reviewed (and updated where necessary) on a yearly basis or as and when the relevant data protection rules are amended.

  1. Purpose
    1.1 The purpose of our processing of your personal information is to:

    i) provide the Service to you, including allowing you to exchange knowledge and share experiences on our healthcare meeting place, and

    ii) target advertising on the Service to make the displayed ads relevant to you, including being able to document the value of ad impressions on the Service.
  2. Personal information you provide us
    2.1 We collect the personal information that you provide us when you sign up as a user on the Service and the information you provide when using our Service, including creating and commenting on posts, communicating with others, etc.

    2.2 The collected personal information will typically include:
    2.2.1 Common personal information:
    – Basic data; first and last name, age, and gender.
    – Login information; email address and password.
    – IP address
    – Image if you choose to upload a profile picture.
    – Other potential information that you provide in your posts on the Service. It may include information in or about the content you enter (such as metadata), e.g., the location of an image or the date of creating a file.
    – We also collect and process information about your connections (e.g., to a group or company/organization) and how you interact with them in our Service.
    – Information that we are required or entitled to process under national legislation, including to authenticate or identify you or verify the information we have collected.

    2.2.1.1 The legal basis for processing is Article 6.1.a of the Data Protection Regulation (consent).

    2.2.2 Sensitive personal information:

As a rule, we do not process sensitive personal information, but if you provide such information in your posts, we may process:

2.3 If you have validated your user, e.g., with a social security number and NemID, this is only used to validate your identity and will not be stored.

2.4 We also have a legitimate interest in not deleting posts from the Service, as this will be part of an overall context with content provided by other users.

2.4.1 The legal basis for processing is Article 6.1.4 of the Data Protection Regulation (necessary for the pursuit of legitimate interests).

3. Personal information we collect automatically

3.1 We automatically collect information about the browsers and devices you use to access the Service, including your behavior on the Service (as our Service is ad-funded). This helps us improve our Service, including adapting, assessing, improving, and targeting our advertising.

3.2 The collected information will typically include:

– Unique IDs, browser type, device type, settings, operating system, etc.

– Location information, including information about the geographic location from your device. NOTE: You can control or disable the use of location services in a program on your device through the settings menu.

4. Storage and sharing

4.1 We may, to the extent necessary, share your personal information with service providers, including IT providers, with whom we collaborate and have a contractual relationship to deliver the Service to you.

4.2 Cooperation with such service providers is covered by written data processing agreements that comply with applicable rules.

4.3 We continuously ensure that data processors have sufficient IT security and comply with the applicable rules on the processing of personal information.

4.4 We only share your personal information with others, such as public authorities or the police, if we are required to do so by law.

4.5 As a starting point, we do not disclose your personal information to third parties without your consent unless we are required to do so by law or if it is done to pursue the purposes described above. For example, if you use Zoom Video Communications, Inc. ("Zoom") for online meetings, we may disclose some of your information to Zoom so that Zoom can enforce its terms of use. In these cases, Zoom will be an independent data controller for your personal information, and we refer to Zoom's privacy policy. We are not responsible for Zoom's processing of your personal information as a data controller.

4.6 We may also disclose your personal information in anonymized form for statistical or scientific use.

4.7 Since our Service depends on the accuracy and currency of your personal information, we ask you to make the relevant changes under your user when logged into the Service if your information changes.

5. Transfer of information to third countries

5.1 In certain cases, we transfer personal information to countries outside the EU/EEA, e.g., when we use suppliers or subcontractors in such countries. Such a transfer will always take place within the framework of the Data Protection Regulation.

6. Safety and protection

6.1 We have established and maintain appropriate organizational and technical measures to prevent your personal information from being accidentally or unlawfully deleted, impaired, or lost, and to prevent it from becoming known to unauthorized third parties or otherwise misused or used in violation of data protection legislation.

6.1.1 If we experience a security breach where we assess that there is a high risk of your personal information being misused, we will notify you of the security breach without undue delay. We will also inform you of what we have done to reduce the risk of misuse of your information.

7. Deletion of your personal information

7.1 We only keep personal information for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes mentioned in section 1 or to comply with legal requirements.

7.2 As a starting point, we keep your personal information as long as you have an active user. If you have been inactive for more than 13 months and if you do not respond to our sent warning email, we may delete your user based on relevant legal or operational storage needs. However, this does not apply to your previous posts and comments, which, as a rule, are not deleted even if your user is deleted.

8. Your rights

8.1 You can at any time find out what personal information we process about you by requesting insight. Most of the information is accessible to you when you are logged into the Service.

8.2 You can at any time request to have your personal information corrected. You also have access to this when you are logged into the Service.

8.3 You also have the right to object to or restrict the processing of your personal information if we process it in violation of the rules.

8.3.1 If parts or all of the processing of your personal information are based on your consent, you have the right to withdraw your consent. If you withdraw your consent, we will delete your user. Your withdrawal does not affect the legality of the processing carried out before you withdrew your consent.

9. How We Use Information

We may use the information we collect from Users for the following purposes:

  1. To personalize your experience and to provide you with the content and services you request.
  2. To improve the App and to develop new features and services.
  3. To comply with applicable laws and regulations.

10. Children's Privacy

Our App is not directed to children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect or solicit information from children under the age of 13. If you are a parent or guardian and you are aware that your child has provided us with information, please contact us and we will delete such information from our files.

11. Links to third parties

The Service may contain links to third-party websites that are not owned or controlled by us. We assume no responsibility for such websites.

12. Protection of personal data

Our data policy states how we process and protect your personal data when you use the Service. You must accept our data policy in order to use the Service.
